My guest today is Ashley Hetherington. At the age of twenty-one, she is the author of A Scoop of Honey, where she discusses her faith journey. She also has a blog rightfully called The Honey Scoop. She uses her blog to connect with others about faith, as well as, other struggles we have in our lives. I really enjoyed reading Ashley’s book. She gives some great tools on how to go about exploring your faith, no matter what that may look like. We touch on her own faith journey, why we think people turn to faith, the phrase, “Spiritual but not religious,” perfection keeps us from connection, finding community, and making space for faith. Our conversation takes an interesting turn as we talk about the stories we make up in our heads and how it relates to finding our significant other, as well as, the voice she is creating for herself.
